Townsen Rejoins Pioneer

Long Beach, Calif. — Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. today announced personnel changes in its Mobile Entertainment Division including.

These moves include the promotion of Matt Yoshimi to marketing and product planning VP and Keith Burnett to product planning VP; and the addition of Michael Townsen as marketing VP.

Matt Yoshimi, former product planning manager, replaces Andy Yamaguchi who will return to the company’s headquarters in Tokyo. Keith Burnett, who previously served as marketing VP, will take the helm of the product planning department as its vice president.

‘Both Matt and Keith are long-time members of Pioneer’s mobile entertainment team, and will continue to provide the strong leadership necessary to expand our business into new, digital technologies,’ said Susumu Kotani, president, Mobile Entertainment Division.

Michael Townsen rejoins Pioneer as marketing VP to oversee all aspects of marketing for the Mobile Electronics unit, after four years away from the company.

‘We’re happy to have Michael back as part of the Pioneer family. His knowledge and insight of the industry can only strengthen our sales and marketing efforts,’ said Kotani.

Pioneer’s Mobile Entertainment Division is the leading manufacturer of audio, video and information products for in-car use. The company markets its products under the Pioneer and Premier brand names.
