Irvine, Calif. – Toshiba’s Digital Products division introduced a new lightweight mobile multimedia DLP projector targeted at business and home entertainment users.
Model TDP-ET20U (shipping in September at a $1,399 suggested retail) features a built-in DVD player, Dolby ProLogic 5.1-channel surround sound and an “extreme short projection” lens for home entertainment, business or academic settings.
The unit will display up to a 100W-inch screen size from as little as 3.9 feet away, Toshiba said. The integrated DVD player allows users to play movies directly from the projector.
Inputs include an RGB for a PC connection and HDMI for DTV signals from outboard video sources or PCs.
The projector comes packaged in a black piano finish casing. All input and output connectors are located on the front of the projector. The projector weighs 10.6 pounds and offers 1,100 lumens of brightness and a 2,000:1 contrast ratio.
