Irvine, Calif. — Toshiba will ship its first netbook series into the U.S. market in late June, the mini NB205.
The two-unit mini notebook line has a full-size keyboard and a 10.1-inch display, and it will be available in two styles. The NB205-N310 has a textured finish, with chromes accented hinge and will come in Sable brown, Frost white, indigo blue and Posh pink. The NV205-N210 is black onyx with a keyboard with a black matte finish.
The NB205-N310 will carry a $399 suggested retail, with the N210 version coming in at $349.
Both models will feature a Intel Atom N280 processor running at 1.66GHz, 1GB of DDR2 RAM (upgradeable to 2GB) and a 160GB hard drive. Each also sports a built-in Web cam, a hard drive impact sensor, six-cell batter delivering nine hours of power and a RGB port.
Available optional purchases include a portable DVD SuperMulti Drive for $99, and a mini-retractable mouse will be on sale for $14.99 later this month.
