Miami — Dave Graveline, host of the syndicated radio technology show “Into Tomorrow,” is throwing a radio contest this summer, offering listeners the chance to win more than $75,000 in CE products.
The show, which is broadcast over 100 AM and FM stations along with Sirius XM satellite radio and other outlets, will hold its The Cool “Into Tomorrow” Hot Summer Giveaway all summer long.
explained that the promotion will help everyone including its radio stations.
“Consumer electronics has been the bright spot. Otherwise, the retail slump has clobbered radio stations.” Graveline recalled how “radio has always created excitement, and helped advertisers move product, with things like big summer-long giveaways. So we are giving our affiliates the contest they otherwise couldn’t afford to stage.”
Listeners can enter all summer long via the show’s Web site at www.graveline.com. Winners will be chosen each week using a random algorithm, and his staff will be shipping out these prizes for the next three-plus months.
Among the 700-plus prizes from more than 50 CE companies are HDTVs, GPS units, digital cameras, laptops, smartphones, Blu-ray players, HD DVRs and HD Radios.
