Alviso, Calif. — TiVo said Wednesday that it will begin offering Blockbuster OnDemand video content through broadband-connected Series 2, Series 3, TiVo HD and TiVo HD XL DVRs in the second half of the year.
As part of the deal, TiVo said its DVRs will begin to be sold at thousands of Blockbuster stores nationwide as well as online at www.blockbuster.com, and the companies will collaborate on a cross-marketing campaign.
Blockbuster OnDemand content will be made available to TiVo subscribers for purchase or rent through the set-top devices.

Regardless of a film’s availability — through or on DVD — we want to work with TiVo to provide their subscribers unprecedented access to movie content.”
