Targus Makes Stowaway iPAQ Portable Keyboard Available

NEW YORK — Targus has announced the widespread retail availability of its full-size Stowaway portable keyboard for the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC. The Stowaway is designed to attach to popular handheld computers.

The Stowaway, which folds to the size of an iPAQ Pocket PC, weighs less than half a pound and enables a user to type e-mail, take notes and input data in mobile environments.

Developed by California-based Think Outside, the Targus Stowaway also is available in versions for the Hewlett-Packard Jornada and the Handspring Visor. It soon will be matched to the Sony Clie.

Sold at a suggested $99.95, the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC version provides users access to the full content of the Internet, business information and improved personal productivity.

It features include fast synchronization for easy desktop information updates, instant access to e-mail and the Web, applications such as MS Word and Excel and MP3 capabilities for listening to music.
