T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T Set Dates, Prices For LG G2

Bellevue, Wash. – T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and AT&T announced  launch dates and pricing for LG’s new flagship smartphone, the G2.

Sprint previously promised to offer the device but hasn’t revelaed a price or date.

The G2 was unveiled last month and will be the focus of LG’s biggest cellphone marketing campaign to date. The G2 is the first LG flagship smartphone to be launched by all four national carriers.

At Verizon, the global-ready G2 will be available online and in stores starting Sept. 12 for $199.99 with new two-year customer agreement.

For its part, AT&T will bring the G2 into its stores and in indirect channels on Sept. 13 at $199 with two-year contract or $27 per month under the AT&T Next no-contract, no-subsidy trade-in program, which isn’t available yet through indirect channels. The phone goes on sale Sept. 6 on AT&T’s web site.

At T-Mobile, the device is available for pre-order and will go on sale Sept. 18 at www.T-Mobile.com, then launch nationwide on Sept. 25 at participating T-Mobile retail stores, select dealers and national retail stores.

The T-Mobile model will be available for qualified customers at $99.99 down with 24 equal monthly device payments of $21 with T-Mobile’s no-contract, no-subsidy Simple Choice Plan. The device will be available in black and white, the latter available only on the company’s web site.

The G2 is the first U.S. smartphone to launch with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a quad-core 2.26GHz processor said by LG to deliver the smartphone industry’s fastest processor speed.

Separately, T-Mobile announced pricing and availability of LG’s Optimus F6, positioned as an affordable model with 4.5-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, and LG-exclusive camera features. The device will launch online via www.T-Mobile.com starting Sept. 5 and to be available nationwide at participating T-Mobile retail stores, select dealers and national retail stores on Sept. With a T-Mobile’s Simple Choice Plan, the Optimus F6 will cost $49.99 down with 24 equal monthly device payments of $10.

With the LG announcements, T-Mobile is expanding its selection of LG smartphones.
