T-Mobile Reveals Pricing Of Motorola Android Phone

Bellevue, Wash. – T-Mobile put a $199 price tag on
Motorola’s first Android-based smartphone and said it would begin offering the previously
announced
3G device for presale to existing subscribers starting Oct. 19 at
www.t-mobile.com/CLIQ.

The Motorola CLIQ smartphone will ship to existing subscribers as orders are received, the carrier
said. It will become available to all consumers beginning Nov. 2 in stores
and online.

The $199 price
is contingent on a two-year service agreement with voice plan starting at
$29.99/month and qualifying data plans starting at $24.99/month.

The phone
features Motorola’s MotoBlur service, which manages and integrates
communications for viewing on the home screen. Updates to contacts, posts,
messages, photos and the like are automatically collected from multiple sources
such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail, and work and personal e-mail.
MotoBlur automatically delivers the updates to the phone’s home screen so users
don’t have to open and close different mobile applications.

The CLIQ
features slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.1-inch HVGA full touchscreen display, Wi-Fi,
5-megapixel auto-focus camera/camcorder, music player with preloaded Amazon MP3
store application, and TeleNav GPS
Navigator, which is available for a free two-week trial.
