SteelSeries Adds Gaming Mice

Chicago –
SteelSeries announced several products for computer gamers today.

The new
introductions included the Xai laser mouse, Kinzu optical mouse and 9HD hard
plastic surface.

“We spent
three years methodically perfecting the SteelSeries Xai by researching mouse
grips used by professional

gaming teams such as Fnatic, SK Gaming and Evil
Geniuses in order to create a level of performance that gamers have never
experienced before,” said Bruce Hawver, CEO of SteelSeries, in a statement.

The Xai
mouse, which has a $79.99 suggested retail, features an ambidextrous shape,
seven programmable macro buttons with 200 strokes per button, driverless
plug-and-play with five profiles, and is fully configurable via LCD menu system,
according to the company.

The Kinzu
optical mouse ($34.99) has the same shape as the Xai but is 7 percent smaller.

Finally, the
9HD surface ($34.99) was engineered to support the tracking capabilities of
high-definition gaming mice. It’s said to feature a finely textured surface
with “tens of thousands of light-reflecting microscopic points.” SteelSeries
said this lets users perform exceptionally precise mouse operations.

All three
products are scheduled to be available in August.
