SpeakerCraft Entering More Audio Segments

ATLANTA

— SpeakerCraft is expanding its
presence in certain categories and entering
new ones here at the CEDIA Expo.

It will launch its first underground outdoor
subwoofer, first tabletop music systems, new
in-room speakers, and new flangeless in-wall
and in-ceiling speakers.

The tabletop music systems are singlechassis
iPad/iPod/iPhone-docking systems
that incorporate FM tuner. One adds a single
CD drive. Both feature a mini USB port to enable
iPod/iPhone/iPad syncing with a PC, the
company said.

The FloBox Mini without CD, and the FloBox
with CD, ship in the first quarter. The former
features two 3-inch woofers and two 0.75-inch
tweeters, while the step-up model features
two 3.5-inch midwoofers, two 0.75-inch dome
tweeters, and a single 5.25-inch subwoofer.

The company’s first in-ground subwoofer,
the BoomTomb, will join an outdoor rock subwoofer
in the fourth quarter. The BoomTomb
features a 10-inch long-throw subwoofer driver.

In new in-room cabinet speakers, Speaker-
Craft developed the Roots line of three small
speakers and two powered subs. The new
line consists of three-two way models with
3.5-, 4.5- and 6.5-inch woofers accompanied,
respectively, by 0.5-, 0.75- and 1-inch silkdome
tweeters.

The new nine SKU flangeless in-wall and inceiling
speakers put a fresh face on the company’s
current AIM and CRS series speakers
by providing magnet-mount grilles with no visible
flange for a less-obtrusive look. Shipments
are in the fourth quarter.

Pricing for the line will be available at the show.
