Sony Veteran Homlish Joins HP

Palo Alto, Calif. – Hewlett-Packard has tapped long-time Sony veteran Martin Homlish as executive VP and chief marketing officer.

Homlish comes directly to
HP after having spent the past 10 years at SAP AG where he was chief marketing
officer and president and CEO of SAP Global Marketing. HP CEO Leo Apotheker
will be Homlish’s direct report

Apotheker was SAP’s CEO
during Homlish’s tenure with that firm.

Prior to SAP, Homlish
spent 15 years with Sony’s Media Solutions Company and the head of the Sony
Electronic Corporate Marketing Services division. He also served as president
of Sony Consumer Audio Group and president of Sony Computer Entertainment
America, where he was responsible for the highly successful U.S. launch of Sony
PlayStation. He also was a board member of the Recording Industry Association
of America.
