Madison, Wis. — Sony Creative Software will ship its ninth version of its Vegas Movie Studio video software to dealers in August.
Vegas Movie Studio 9 will be sold in three variations, with all three featuring new import and export project wizards for preparing video for distribution across a variety of platforms, Cinescore Studio royalty-free soundtrack creation, and direct YouTube publishing.
The software also features DVD Architect Studio 4.5 for burning standard-definition video onto DVDs. The standard version will retail for $69.95.
The Platinum Edition of Studio, for $99, can burn Blu-ray discs and supports AVCHD video, MPEG-2 and HDV video transfers.
A $129 Platinum Pro Pack version adds software and content for audio mastering, video transitions and special effects. The Pro Pack includes Sound Forge Audio Studio, additional Cinescore themes, NewBlue 3-D Transitions and Effects and a 2GB Sony Microvault USB drive (for a limited time).
