San Diego — With a strong eye toward style, Sony has released the Vaio Series C line of slim line notebooks that are available in five colors and a fashionable industrial design.
The color scheme includes seashell white, blush pink, spring green, espresso black and urban gray and there are matching colors along the notebooks casing and around the touchpad. The wrist rest area has a new dimpled texture.
On the technical side the 5-pound device is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and is Windows Vista capable and Vista Premium ready. It has a 13.3-inch display that uses Sony’s XVRITE ECO LCD technology for extended battery life and a dual layer, DVD+/-/RAM burner.
The espresso black and urban gray will ship to stores by late October with a suggested retail price of $1,350. In November the seashell white, blush pink and spring green will become available at sonystyle.com or at Sony Style® stores. Pre-orders are being taken online.
