Sixth Avenue’s Temiz Joins PRO Group Board

Springfield, N.J. — Mike Temiz, president of New York metro area chain Sixth Avenue Electronics, has been appointed to the board of directors of PRO Group, the 19-dealer specialty A/V buying organization.

The appointment became effective Jan. 1.

PRO created an additional seat on its board for Temiz, who did not replace any current board members.

“I am extremely pleased to see Mike Temiz join the board and am confident that his insights and business expertise will strengthen this governing body of PRO,” said Dave Workman, the group’s executive director. “I look forward to working even more closely with Mike and am sure that his participation will add tremendous value to the membership as we continue to address the evolution of retailing in the consumer electronics industry today.”

Temiz said in a statement that “I am honored to be appointed to the board of directors and look forward to working closer with such a great group of people.”
