New York — Sirius Satellite Radio has signed OEM deals with Mercedes Benz, Jaguar and Land Rover.
Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover will offer Sirius as a factory installed option on select models. Sirius will be available starting next month in the 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV. It will also be a factory option on six additional 2006 Mercedes vehicles later this year and four 2007 model year vehicles next year, said Sirius.
The M-Class SUV package will have a suggested retail price of $500 including a six-month subscription.
Land Rover plans to offer Sirius as a factory option on the 2006 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport in July. These Sirius units will include a touch screen interface.
Jaguar plans to offer Sirius as a dealer-installed accessory in four 2005 vehicle lines beginning this May and as port-installed options on the same models for the 2006 model year, Sirius said. These include the X-Type, X-Type Wagon, S-Type and XJ Sedan.
