NEW YORK — Sirius Satellite Radio announced it will be the exclusive provider of factory-installed satellite radios for certain Mitsubishi Motors vehicles. The company also said it will provide satellite radios for the Volkswagen Jetta beginning this month.
Sirius will be offered in four Mitsubishi models beginning this fall with the 2006 Raider, a new mid-sized truck. Sirius will come standard with the Mitsubishi Motors’ Premium Audio System package and all 2006 and 2007 premium systems will come with a six month pre-paid Sirius subscription.
Sirius said Volkswagen will also offer its radios as factory options for the Jetta as well as the 2006 Passat later this year. XM satellite radios will also be a factory option for the same models, said XM. Both Sirius and XM are now factory options for the Beetle and Beetle Convertible.
