Simtech Enters Camcorder Market

Los Angeles – Home security manufacturer Simtech International has entered the camcorder market with its first product, the VHS-C based EZ-1.

Shipping now for a suggested retail price of $169.95, the camcorder features a fixed focus lens, LowLux electronics for low light situations, gamma brightness correction to lighten dark objects and backlight compensation circuitry that keeps a subject in focus in a bright background.

The model features StableCam picture stabilization and delivers 220 lines of resolution. It takes six AA batteries for three hours of recording time.

Simtech will sell an optional accessory kit containing six AA batteries, a T-30 VHS-C cassette and a VHS-C/VCR adapter for a suggested retail price of $19.95.
