MAHWAH, N.J. —
Sharp is now shipping
its Aquos Quattron 7-series TVs, with 8-series
models to follow later in the month.
The new models include 60- and 70-
inch screen sizes. Models LC-60LE745U
and LC-70LE745U will carry suggested
retails of $2,300 and $3,300, respectively.
Both models feature new ultra-slim bezels
with black brushed-aluminum cabinet
designs. They offer FullHD 1080p resolution,
active-shutter 3D viewing, 120Hz refresh
rates, built-in Wi-Fi with SmartCentral
and four HDMI inputs.
Sharp Aquos Quattron 8-series 3D
LED TVs will start shipping at the end of
March and will hit shelves in April, in models
with 60-, 70- and 80-inch screens.
Models LC-60LE847U, LC-70LE847U
and LC-80LE844U will carry suggested
retails of $2,700, $3,800 and $6,000,
respectively.
The series offers even sleeker cabinet
designs with a black brushed-aluminum finish,
built-in Wi-Fi with SmartCentral, FullHD
1080p resolution, active-shutter 3D, and
Quattron Quad Pixel Plus 2 technology for
improved yellow and green reproduction.
The FullHD 1080p LC-80LE844U features
full array LED backlighting and an
AquoMotion 480 refresh rate to reduce
motion blurring. The 60- and 70-inch
models offer edge-lit LEDs with a newly
developed 240Hz LCD panel.
