Sharp LCD TV Cuts Hit $700

In what is likely to be the start of a chain reaction of industry flat-panel TV price cuts as the year moves closer to the critical holiday season, Sharp disclosed that it has lowered prices on select AQUOS LCD TVs in the 26W-inch through 45W-inch screen sizes this week.

Dealers were notified that manufacturer’s suggested retail prices were slashed from $150 to $700 and include the following models:

The 45W-inch LC-45D40U drops $200 from $3,999, to $3,799 suggested retail.

The 37W-inch LC-37D90U drops $500 from $3,499, to $2,999.

The 37W-inch LC-37D40U drops $700 from $2,999, to $2,299.

The 32W-inch LC-32D50U drops $500 from $2,299, to $1,799.

The 32W-inch LC-32D40U drops $200 from $1,799, to $1,599.

The 32W-inch LC-32SH20U drops $400 from $1,799, to $1,399.

The 26W-inch LC-26D40U drops $200 from $1,299, to $1,099.

The 26W-inch LC-26DV20U drops $150 from $1,199, to $1,049.

The 26W-inch LC-26SH20U drops $150 from $949, to $1,099.
