intended to compete but pulled out to rehabilitate her right shoulder. She nonetheless appeared at promotional events, including an autograph signing today.

The clamshell, available in three colors, emits a pulsating light show when a call comes in. The lights can be programmed to light up in different sequences based on who is calling. It also features gesture control, letting users wave a hand over the screen to dismiss an incoming call or snooze the alarm.

SonyEricsson has not announced whether the phone will be available unlocked or through a carrier.

The North American version features quadband GSM/EDGE and tri-band 850/1900/2100MHz W-CDMA/HSDPA. Its 2.2-inch screen can be customized to display wallpaper themes that change when night falls. Other features include 3.2-megapixel camera/camcorder with video light, video calling, YouTube access, picture and video blogging, music and video playback, 3-D motion games, Google Maps, geo-tagging of photos, FM radio with RDS, external monochrome scratch-resistant OLED display, up to 100MB memory, Memory Stick Micro (M2) and MicroSD slot, and stereo Bluetooth.
