ServiceBench Bows Extended Warranty Management Program

Fairfax, Va. — ServiceBench, a leading provider of Web-based service management solutions, has introduced a comprehensive online product designed to help manufacturers establish, market and manage extended-service contract programs for their products.

The company said its Extended Warranty Solution simplifies the development of an extended-service program that can provide manufacturers with an incremental revenue stream from the sale of contracts. The product also uses analytics to provide OEMs with deeper insights and enhanced control over the customer experience for improved service and more effective brand management, ServiceBench said.

“Increased competition and shifting buying behaviors are challenging manufacturers to discover new methods of developing more profitable customer relationships while reinforcing brand loyalty,” said Michael Dering, CEO of ServiceBench. “Our Extended Warranty Solution simplifies the process of selling and managing extended service agreements, providing our customers with a deeper connection to their consumer while adding a new profit center to their business.”

The program is comprised of modules designed to simplify the sales and marketing of extended service agreements. The Solution also contains tools to streamline scheduling and adjudication of under-warranty repair claims that are covered by the service agreements, while analytic capabilities capture product and service data to help optimize the customer experience and identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, the company said.

“Extended Warranty is the latest addition to our set of solutions designed to help organizations deliver the best possible service experience to their customers,” said Dering. “Manufacturers now have the ability to sell service contracts directly into their customer base, helping them to optimize a critical component in the service supply chain and reach new levels of service excellence.”

Founded in 2000 and serving such clients as Best Buy, Sears and Whirlpool, ServiceBench is a provider of service management solutions that integrate post-sales service activities including service call management, field service management, parts management, claims management and service contract management.
