2/02/2011 06:57:06 AM Eastern

Hoffman Estates,
Ill. - Sears Holdings has named Scott Freidheim president of the company's
Kenmore, Craftsman and DieHard private-label brands.

Freidheim joined
Sears from Lehman Brothers in 2009 as executive VP, operating and support businesses,
and succeeds Guether Trieb, who held the post for the past three years.

"Scott is a strong
leader who will heighten our focus on our Kenmore, Craftsman and Diehard
brands," said president and interim CEO Bruce Johnson. "I believe he will be a
tremendous asset to this business as we drive new ideas forward."

Freidheim is
expected to focus on selling Sears' private-label stable through other
retailers, which chairman Eddie Lampert has identified as a key strategic
initiative for the chain.
