Sears Names New Appliance President

12/09/2010 02:23:58 PM Eastern

Hoffman Estates, Ill. - Sears' home appliance president Doug
Moore has left the company after two years in that post.

He has been succeeded by Dev Mukherjee, who previously headed up
Sears' toys and seasonal businesses.

Sears gave no explanation for the departure of Moore, who is also
a director of Lumber Liquidators, the nation's largest hardwood flooring
specialty chain. During his tenure he led the effort to staunch steady majap
market share declines by rekindling the company's Kenmore private-label
appliance brand, and by instituting steep and regular price promotions on its
white-goods products.

 Moore joined Sears as
hardlines merchandising senior VP in 2007 from Circuit City, where he held
various senior positions over 17 years, including executive VP and chief
merchandising officer. He was named senior VP of Sears Holdings and president
of home appliances in 2008.

He has been a member of Lumber Liquidators' board since 2006.

Mukherjee joined Sears nearly four years ago as innovation senior
VP, and became president of the season and toys unit in January 2009. Before
that he served as general marketing manager for Microsoft and strategy and
marketing VP for IBM.
