Samsung Taps Park To Head IT Division

Irvine, Calif. - Samsung yesterday named Yong Jin Park president of its U.S. Information Technology division.

Park replaces T.H. Kim, a 30-year Samsung veteran, who is retiring.

Park responsibilities will include LCD and CRT computer monitors, large-screen LCD and plasma displays for the commercial and Pro A/V marketplace, monochrome and color laser printers and multifunction products.

Previously, Park served as president of Samsung Electronics Latin America and from 1990 to 1996 he in charge of sales and marketing for the company’s U.S. consumer electronics division.
