Samsung Ships New Mini Notebooks

Ridgefield Park, N.J. — Samsung Electronics America today introduced two mini notebooks, the N110 and N120.

The new models incorporate several upgrades, including longer battery life, multimedia speakers, a larger

keyboard and touchpad. These improvements are intended to attract the average consumer looking for a lightweight multimedia device and the business buyer who needs longer battery life, said J.H. Kim, president of Samsung Electronics America.

The N110 features a 10.1-inch LCD and is powered by an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHZ processor. It is just more than 10 inches wide and 7 inches deep. The N110 has a 160GB hard drive and 1GB of DDR2 memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and a lithium-ion battery that delivers nine hours of power. Suggested retail is $469.

The N120 has the same basic features but is slightly larger (less then an inch wider and deeper) and can operate for six hours on battery power. The keyboard’s size is 97 percent that of a full-size model.

Both are available via www.samsung.com and several online retailers.
