Cudina said his brother's wife Georgia, friends and neighbors who live in Lebanon Township have formed the Richard Cudina Memorial Committee, a non-profit organization organized to create a monument to his memory in town and plan a scholarship fund to benefit a deserving local student.

To raise funds for the project the committee will host a golf outing at Basking Ridge Country Club on Monday, Aug. 26. The deadline to register is Aug. 10. The donation is $200 per golfer that includes a round of golf, goodie bag, contests, lunch and banquet. The group is calling for sponsorships for a hole, contests and refreshments. The organizers are open to other sponsorship ideas.
