Samsung Appoints Sanduski, Sullivan To New Positions

Ridgefield Park, N.J. — Jim Sanduski, Samsung digital A/V products group senior market VP, has been named senior VP of sales for all of Samsung consumer electronics products, effective Nov. 6. Reid Sullivan, formerly Panasonic entertainment merchandising VP, will take over Sanduski’s role in the position of digital A/V products group marketing VP.

Sanduski will take over some of the sales responsibilities once handled by Peter Weedfald, former Samsung sales and marketing senior VP, who recently left
Samsung to join Circuit City. However, Sanduski will deal with sales to regional accounts, mass merchants, warehouse clubs and
distributors, but not national big-box chains Circuit City and Best Buy, which will continue to be served by dedicated sales teams.

Sanduski will continue to report to J.S. Park, Samsung’s Consumer Electronics Division president.

“I will be able to combine my knowledge of television and audio and video products in working with our accounts to build Samsung’s in-store share,” Sanduski told TWICE. “The mandate I’ve been given is to build our in-store sales and share to a higher level.”

Sanduski explained in-store share as the level of consumer sell-through at each account relative to the sell-through of products from competitive brands. Samsung will be looking to sell a higher percentage of models and units, and proportionately decrease the number of models sold by Samsung’s competitors.

Samsung’s key focus will continue to be on television, Sanduski said, but video products including Blu-ray Disc players will also be a focus next year, he said.
