Corona, Calif. –
Rosen will go to next week’s SEMA show in Las Vegas with multiple
expediter-targeted products, including the company’s first Ford Sync-ready
OE-fit navigation system and a modular headrest entertainment system with DVD
and iPod/iPhone dock.
The company will
also unveil a double-DIN multimedia nav system.
All are targeted
to the expediter market.
The headrest
entertainment system is the AV7900, which features 7-inch tablet-style LCD,
capacitive touch, 50 embedded video games with included wireless controller,
and a modular design allowing for six installation options. Options include a
DVD/CD/MP3-CD player in each of two touchscreen-equipped headrests, an
iPod/iPhone dock in each of two headrests, and a DVD in one headrest and a dock
in the second. The dock option also comes with USB port and microSD slot,
enabling those content sources to be enjoyed by multiple people in the vehicle.
For the headrest system, dealers can
separately order LCD displays, DVD mechanisms, and the dock/USB/microSD option to
custom-design a system for an individual purchaser’s needs, the company said.
In a two-headrest install, each unit can
operate as an independent system, or content can be shared between the two.
Headrest cables are routed through the hollow posts for a factory look. An
integrated wireless FM transmitter enables the system’s audio to play through a
vehicle’s audio system, but trhe system can also be hardwqired to the car audio
system. The system also feature dual-channel IR transmitter for use with included
two-channel wireless headphones. A wireless remote is also included.
In factory-look multimedia navigation systems,
the company will expand its selection to include its first Ford Sync-ready
system, intended for Ford’s 2010-2012 F150 truck.
The F150 model
replaces the truck’s entire factory radio bezel, retains all factory control
buttons and knobs, and replaces a low-resolution Sync-information screen with a
6.95-inch high-definition LCD touchscreen that display maps, backup camera
video and Sync-controlled source details. No external Sync interface module is
needed, and the system plugs into the factory wiring harness.
The Ford F150
system joins OE-fit nav systems from Rosen for GM, Honda, Hyundai; Mazda,
Nissan, Scion, Subaru, Toyota and VW vehicles.
Also at the show,
the company will launch the first in a series of Piranha universal double-DIN
multimedia/navigations systems, which will offer more features than the
company’s current models and can be upgraded with new technology in the future.
The Piranha
double-DIN system features a 6.5-inch HD LCD display, iPod/iPhone control via
front and rear USB ports, Parrot Bluetooth with phonebook download, stereo
Bluetooth, voice-dial and internal or external microphone options. It also has
iGoPrimo navigation software, pre-programmed steering wheel control settings
for major vehicle makes plus a universal option, AM/FM RDS tuner, DVD/CD/MP3-CD
player, 4×50-watt amp, built-in crossover with subwoofer controls, DSP, graphic
EQ and backup camera interface.
