PRO Releases Customized Imaging Software

5/05/2003 02:31:00 PM Eastern

Fairfield, Conn. - Aiming to drive prints back to its network of dealers, the Photographic Research Organization (PRO) announced today that is offering a customized version of Trevoli Ltd.'s Photo Finale digital photography software application free to consumers who purchase a digital camera.

The software, which normally retails for $39.95, has been customized for PRO retailers with a print application that can send digital image files to PRO retail locations for printing (the consumer can choose to have the prints mailed back to them, or to pick them up in store).

Aside from making prints, Photo Finale lets users organize, edit, create special effects, create photo Web sites, and e-mail photos.

The PRO version of Photo Finale offers red-eye removal, high quality image browsing with interactive sizing of thumbnail images, the ability to create customized photo Web sites, watch slide shows while listening to MP3 or WMA music, and the ability to rename multiple photos with one click. Multi-level undo/redo and interactive JPEG optimization are also provided.
