Philips’ Kleisterlee To Be A CES Keynoter

Arlington, Va. – Gerard Kleisterlee, president/CEO of Royal Philips Electronics, will deliver a keynote address at the 2002 International CES.

Kleisterlee’s speech will be delivered on Wednesday, January 9 at 4:30 p.m. in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater. In making the announcement Gary Shapiro, president/CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the show’s producer, said, “Philips is at the leading edge of the digital revolution . [and] Gerard Kleisterlee has continued to evolve Philips into a global technology leader.”

Kleisterlee joins Samsung Electronics’ Daeje Chin, president/CEO of its digital media business, William Esrey, president/CEO of Sprint, and Hewlett-Packard chairman/CEO Carly Fiorina as keynoter speakers at next year’s International CES.
