Edmond, Okla. - Petra Industries, a leading distributor of CE, custom installation products, mobile A/V accessories and appliance connection supplies, held its 9th Annual Car Audio Expo this past weekend at company headquarters here.

The event gave attendees the chance to meet face-to-face with vendor representatives from the 26 manufacturers, who gave hands-on demonstrations of new speakers, A/V receivers, DVD players, CD head units, navigation systems and accessories, subwoofers and other products.

As at last year's show, Petra gave attendees the chance to shop exclusive same-day show specials only available from the Expo floor. In all, 34 brands participated in offering these Expo-only specials.

Exhibitors included Pioneer, Clarion, SiriusXM, Garmin, Bazooka, Whistler, Dual, Boss, Sound Storm Laboratories, Directed Electronics, Cobra, PAC, Wilson, Parrot, Midland, Power Acoustik, Crime Stopper, Rocky Mountain Radar, Boyo, Roadview, Steelmate, DB Research, Atrend, Scytek and Scosche, Petra said.

"Our manufacturers really enjoy coming to the Expo because they get to provide direct support and information to the dealers that sell their products," said Petra executive VP Tate Morgan. "We are proud to say this year's Expo was another huge success for both the manufacturers and our dealers who will now be able to take that product knowledge to their own customers for greater success for their business."

Petra also continued its annual tradition of the "Installer Olympics," which included such games as the woofer toss, frozen T-shirt race and a crowd favorite, the creeper races.

All Expo attendees were also registered for a chance to win raffle prizes including an 8 GB Apple iPod touch 4G, a JVC 5.0 MP Picsio Pocket digital video camera and 37-inch 1080p E200 Series LCD HDTV, a 6.9-inch portable DVD player from Toshiba and a Coby 7-inch Kyros touchscreen tablet.

Interviews from the Expo show floor with all attending manufacturers can be viewed at http://www.petra.com/petra-channels.
