Boulder, Colo. — Pentax Corporation will merge two of its U.S. subsidiaries: Pentax U.S.A. and Pentax Precision Instruments under one consolidated company, Pentax of America effective April 1.
The newly formed company will be comprised of two divisions, imaging and medical. Pentax Imaging will retain its existing locations in Golden, Colo. and will continue to be the sales and service arm for the company’s digital and film cameras and other imaging products.
The medical division, Pentax Medical Co., is currently relocating from Orangeburg, N.Y. to a Montvale, N.J., office that will also serve as the Pentax of America’s corporate headquarters.
Ikuzo Okamoto will serve as president and CEO of Pentax of America Inc. and as president of Pentax Medical Co. Robert Bender will remain as president of Pentax Imaging.
