Paulson’s Joins HTSA

Farmington Hills, Mich. — Paulson’s Audio & Video has joined the Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA), raising the buying group’s roster to 51 member dealers.

Paulson’s, based here, is a family-run business started 12 years ago by Ken Paulson. His lone 10,000-square-foot store has nine home theater vignettes, a wide assortment of advanced TVs and a focused custom installation room.

“This is a perfect fit,” said HTSA’s executive director Richard Glikes. “The store is vibrant and inviting with plasma TVs, DLPs and LCD rear-projection TVs everywhere. Video is driving our business, and Paulson’s really does an excellent job of merchandising and selling this category.”

For his part, Paulson said he joined HTSA “to help further our success as a family-owned independent electronics retailer.”

Paulson’s is the fourth dealer to join HTSA since June, bringing membership to an all-time high. Filling market voids with new qualified members was one of the group’s goals for 2004, Glikes said.
