Panasonic Site Offers DTV-Readiness Sessions

Secaucus, N.J. — Panasonic said it is offering a special “What You Need To Know About the Digital Transition” section on its Living in High Definition Web site to assist stragglers who have not yet made adjustments to continue receiving over-the-air TV stations when most analog broadcasting ends June 12.

Greg “Answerman” Harper, who is listed as LivingInHD.com’s resident expert, is hosting a series of interactive live video chat sessions to answer questions about the Digital Transition.

The sessions will take place on the Website on June 4 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST. The live chat sessions will also be cached on the LiHD site to provide an on going resource.

Panasonic said it added the extra programs after a Nielsen survey conducted in late April revealed that as many as 3.5 million homes were still not prepared for the transition to all-digital TV broadcasting.

The “What You Need To Know About the Digital Transition” section found at LivingInHD.com will address key questions about preparing for the transition.

Visitors will have access to downloadable and printable tip sheets that consumers can take directly to their television sets to ensure they have all the elements to receive a digital signal or HD content, depending on what service provider and TV set they have.
