Upper Saddle River, N.J. — Onkyo USA informed its dealers and representatives that an unaffiliated company with a similar name filed Chapter 11 and that the filing does not affect the AV supplier.
An Onkyo USA spokesman identified the Chapter 11 company as Onkyo America Inc., an OEM car speaker manufacturer sold off ‘years ago’ by Onkyo Corp., parent of Onkyo USA.
‘Please be aware that Onkyo America Inc. is in no way affiliated with Onkyo U.S.A. Corporation and that this filing in no way affects our company,’ said a letter signed by Don Milks, Onkyo’s national product and marketing manager.
