Nyko Shrinks Kinect Play Space

Los Angeles – Nyko
Technologies has begun shipping its Zoom for Kinect, which allows users in
small rooms to play games on Microsoft’s Kinect game system for Xbox 360.

With a series of
proprietary lenses and a simple clip-on design, the Zoom allows Kinect game
play in 40 percent less space, and requires no additional power or batteries.

Nyko said the Zoom is
ideal for Kinect owners in apartments, dorms and small living rooms as it
allows two people to play Kinect games in a space that would otherwise only
accommodate one person. It is compatible with any Kinect game.

“Kinect gaming will
continue to grow, and with Zoom, we are able to help expand that user base by
providing a solution for those looking to enjoy Kinect in a smaller
environment,” said Chris Arbogast, Nyko’s marketing director. “The Zoom is
incredibly simple to install, and most importantly, it works. Starting today,
even more people can enjoy the thrills of being the controller.”

The Zoom is now available
at the following U.S. retailers: Amazon, Best Buy, BJ’s, Fred Meyer, Fry’s,
GameStop, Hastings, Kmart, Micro Center, Newegg.com, P.C. Richard & Son,
RadioShack, Sears, Toys “R” Us, Transworld Music, Walmart.com, most Walmart
stores and on
