NPD, TWICE Team On 'Success' Report

The NPD Group, of Port Washington, N.Y., has teamed with TWICE to present our annual "Success Story" report on the products that have sold the most units at retail.

This year's survey, based on NPD research, presents the top 10 SKUs in selected categories for the June 2006 through May 2007 period.

Among the nine categories in the paper-wide report are: LCD TVs, digital camcorders, mobile navigation, portable digital player docking speakers, external hard drives, digital point-and-shoot cameras, mobile in-dash DVD monitors, Bluetooth headsets and French-door refrigerators.

TWICE editors will report the findings and explore why certain SKUs in those categories have done so well in the past 12 months.

Among the more notable top-ranked products are: Sony's DCR-DVD105 camcorder (see p. 37), Garmin StreetPilot c330 (see p. 38), the iHome iH5 iPod clock radio (see p. 48) and the Canon SD600 Digital Elph (see p. 54).
