Nook Distribution Expands Again

Portland, Ore. - Fred Meyer Stores will become the latest
retailer to sell Barnes & Noble Nook e-readers when the 132-store chain
adds the products to its e-reader selection on July 30.

The announcement
follows an announcement
by OfficeMax
that it is expanding its e-reader selection with the July 30
availability of the Nook e-readers.

Both retailers
will offer Barnes & Noble's $139 Simple Touch Reader and $249 Nook Color
Reader.

The four-state
Fred Meyer chain began offering e-readers at the end of 2009, starting with
Pandigital and Sony models. The chain added tablets this year, offering the
iPad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Acer Iconia.

The chain also
offers TracFone prepaid cellular phones.
