Nokia HDD Phone Debuts

Irving, Texas — Nokia has begun selling its N91 HDD-equipped phone for $599 on its Web site, www.nokiausa.com.

Designed for mobile music use, the stainless-steel 4GB phone features 3.5mm stereo-headphone jack, dedicated music keys, Wi-Fi, PC synchronization with a PC’s Windows Media Player, and ability to share playlists by text message or Bluetooth.

The Nokia N91 plays back music in the MP3, M4A, protected-WMA, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+ formats.

The quadband GSM/EDGE/W-CDMA phone was launched last year overseas and operates mainly in non-U.S. bands. It operates in GSM/EDGE mode in foreign 900/1800MHz networks, on U.S. 1900MHz GSM/EDGE networks, and on foreign 2.1GHz W-CDMA bands.
