Nokia, DBL Team On Unlocked Phones

White Plains, N.Y. — Nokia added DBL Distributing as a distributor of its unlocked GSM phones, joining other Nokia distributors such as Brightpoint, D&H, Pegasus and Parktel.

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based DBL added Nokia’s unlocked phones and Wi-Fi Internet tablet to its spring/summer catalog for national distribution to independent retailers and e-tailers. Unlocked phones include the N95with 5-megapixel camera, MP3 player, GPS and 8GB of internal memory. The Nokia devices are also available through DBL’s Web site at www.dbldistributing.com or by contacting a sales associate at (800) 733-6766.

“With access to Nokia’s product selection, DBL customers are positioned to better compete with the big box retailers,” said Henry Chiarelli, DBL president. DBL has more than 32,000 retail customers nationwide for its more than 20,600 products from more than 540 product lines.

Nokia also sells through Ingram Micro, which acquired DBL and “created the opportunity for them to also distribute Nokia devices,” a Nokia spokesman noted.
