Nicholas Tapped To Run Panasonic Cable

said Thursday that
25-year cable industry sales and marketing veteran David M. Nicholas has been
named its new cable group VP.

Nicholas will be responsible for all aspects of Panasonic’s cable
business in the U.S., including sales, marketing, service, field engineering
and U.S.-based development engineering. He will manage the company’s growing
digital cable set-top box sales with the aim of further expanding market share
and enhancing the range of cable solutions it provides to major North American
CATV operators.

Nicholas has held sales and marketing management positions with
Philips Electronics, Pioneer Communications of America, Texscan MSI, Pioneer
Electronics, Concurrent Computer, N2 Broadband, Vyyo, BigBand Networks,
Symmetricom and most recently Cheetah Technologies.

He had also previous worked for Panasonic for five years earlier
in his career.
