Newegg Touts Tech On College Tour

City of Industry, Calif. – Newegg.com
will showcase the latest CE and IT products on more than 100 campuses this fall
as part of a two-month college tour.

The annual road show, sponsored this
year by Canon, Cooler Master, McAfee, Microsoft, Toshiba and Newegg-owned Rosewill,
will visit schools in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York
and Seattle, among other markets.

During the tour, Newegg will
highlight new products and back-to-school “essentials,” such as notebooks,
cameras and software, and students will be invited to learn more about the
devices and receive complimentary giveaways.

In conjunction with the tour, Newegg
has also launched a sweepstakes that’s open to all college students. Six prize
bundles will be awarded, including a Toshiba Satellite notebook, Microsoft
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit software, McAfee Total Protection 2011, a Canon EOS
Rebel T3i d-SLR, and computer cases from Cooler Master and Rosewill.

Said Bernard Luthi, Newegg’s
marketing, web management and customer service senior VP, “We’re visiting these
colleges to make sure students will look to Newegg as their ‘one-stop shop’ for
back-to-school shopping. With our large selection of consumer electronics
products and extensive library of valuable customer reviews, Newegg has
everything college students need to get geared up for a successful start to the
new school year.”

Newegg, founded in 2001, is the
largest online-only CE and IT specialty retailer, with more than 16 million
registered users. For more information about the 2011 College Campus Tour, including
