New Digital Frames Find the Right Fit

New York — Sungale and PhotoVu introduced new digital frames this week.

Sungale’s new KL24 features a 2.4-inch, 320 by 240 LCD screen with a 400:1 contrast ratio. The model has a rechargeable battery that can provide up to five hours of display life along with internal memory to hold 120 JPEG images, the company said. The frame will retail for a suggested $59.99.

Though towering next to the KL24, PhotoVu’s 17-inch frame is currently the smallest in the company’s line, which spans to 22 inches.

The 802.11b-enabled 17-inch frame can accept RSS feeds from various photo sites as well as interface with Apple’s iPhoto and Google Picasa software. It can be upgraded to work on 802.11g networks as well.

The frame features a 1,280 by 800 LCD display with a 500:1 contrast ratio. It does not offer slots for memory cards but can pull images from USB flash drives. It will retail for a suggested $699.
