Glenview, Ill. — The North American Retailer Dealers Association (NARDA) and its service division, Service USA, have named industry consultant and contractor Otto Papasadero as its interim executive director, succeeding Tom Drake who accepted a position outside the industry last month.
The appointment of Papasadero — a former president/CEO of Mega Group Canada, a CE, majap and furniture buying group for independent dealers — was announced at the third annual Service and Retail Convention (SRC), which just concluded in Las Vegas.
“Otto has assisted countless independent retailers and servicers in their businesses and we look forward to his leadership role in the association,” NARDA said in a statement. The group, headquartered here, is a 65-year-old, not-for-profit educational trade association for independent CE, majap and furniture retailers and servicers. Its members account for more than 3,500 storefronts and more than $11 billion in annual sales.
