Motorola Launches $200 Cash-Back Program

Libertyville,
Ill. – Motorola Mobility will offer cash incentives up to $200 to professional
consumers who trade in an old cellphone for an enterprise-ready Android-based
Motorola smartphone.

The
program, which launches Feb. 28, is designed to boost sales of higher-priced
smartphones and tablets with the security and encryption features that IT
departments believe are secure enough to access enterprise servers.

Under
the program, Motorola will provide an instant online quote for a user’s previous cellphone, a prepaid
shipping label, and payment within four to six weeks of receipt. Prosumers
will also be able to use the new MotoAssist IT service for help in setting up accounts and transferring contacts. Service
personnel will also work
directly with corporate IT departments.

Motorola said it has launched more than 20 enterprise-ready
smartphones
and tablets during the past three years.
Devices include the Motorola
Razr, Droid Razr, Droid Razr Maxx and Droid 4. They offer FIPS
140-2 government-grade encryption, MotoCast by
Motorola for remote file access, Smart Actions for task automation, and a Citrix GoToMeeting app for
collaboration while on the go.

The recently launched Motorola Xoom 2 and Droid
Xyboard tablets are also enterprise-ready.
