New York – Monster
announced Monday that its Diddybeats ear buds are now available at Best Buy.
Diddybeats, part of the
Beats by Dr. Dre line of headphones, were
first announced at International CES
in January. Offered in pink, black and white, they have a $179 suggested retail
and are currently being sold at BestBuy.com for $149.
For a limited time, all
headphone purchasers will receive a “ticket” with an online promotional code
that lets them receive a free track download of the single “Hello Good Morning”
from Diddy-Dirty Money’s upcoming album Last Train to Paris, Monster said.
The
Diddybeats are constructed of aluminum and enamel, and they come with a travel
case and a variety of ear tips. A version with ControlTalk — which lets
Monster headphones double as a hands-free microphone for use with iPhones — is
also available. As for other smartphones, Monster said the white version of
Diddybeats is compatible with all BlackBerrys, but the pink and black versions
do not support volume and tracking control.
