Monster Diversifies Headphones Designs

New York – Monster announced the expansion of several headphones lines yesterday at a showcase for the press, here.

Monster added a white, on-ear version of its Diesel Noise Division Vektr headphones. The white Vektr, co-developed by Monster and Diesel, is a tri-folding headphone that joins the current black model, and features proprietary titanium-coated driver technology that delivers Pure Monster Sound with a minimum of distortion, according to the company. The cable features a distinct triangular section that prevents tangling.

They are available at Diesel stores, the Monster Diesel website (DieselbyMonster.com) and the Diesel online store, for a suggested retail of $280, as well as at select electronics retailers worldwide, such as Nordstrom, Airport Wireless, InMotion, J&R Music World, Tech Showcase, Sound Balance, Best Buy Canada and Onecall.com.

Also new are a wider range of interchangeable colored headbands for the company’s over-the-ear Inspiration headphones. In addition to the original options of titanium, white and black, new colors available for purchase separately include silver, Raptor Silver, Expression, Expression Silver, Waxed Denim, navy, dark brown and Tomato.

Monster is also debuting new colors and styles available exclusively on the company’s Inspiration micro site MonsterInspiration.com), including green, purple, Pink Rose, teal, cobalt and tangerine.

Inspiration headphones come in passive ($300 retail) and active ($350 retail) noise-canceling models.

Monster has also added a Black Diamond version of its Diamond Tears – Edge headphones, created in alliance with music producer J.Y. Park, founder of JYP Entertainment. They retail for $350.
