Mobile Edge Bows Benefit Backpack

Portable storage bag maker Mobile Edge is introducing its G-Pak custom-designed laptop backpack, named after Gunner Esiason, the son of former National Football League quarterback Boomer Esiason.

The tie-in honors the partnership formed between Moble Edge and the Boomer Esiason Foundation to help raise funds for cystic fibrosis awareness and research. The company will donate 10 percent of the retail sales of the G-Pak to the foundation. Gunner Esiason has been diagnosed with the ailment.

The G-Pak, which totes a distinct G-Pak logo and modern stenciled writing over various parts of the backpack, is made of durable ballistic nylon and includes a computer compartment said to provide “superior” protection for laptops.

The G-Pak sports an ergonomically designed and ventilated back-panel to help ensure user comfort. A “convenient” media pocket is designed to carry an iPod or MP3 player and features a special pass-through port for the headphone cord. Inside, the G-Pak comes with additional compartments for the notebook’s power supply, files, work papers, pens and two pockets for a cellphone and other accessories.

Suggested retail is $69.99.

Additionally, Mobile Edge plans to offer a Boomer Esiason Foundation deluxe backpack as well as a business tote designed specifically for women. All foundation-related products begin shipping in June.
