Microsoft Planning 75 More Stores

Los Angeles – Microsoft
is planning to open 75 more retail stores over the next two to three years.

COO Kevin Turner
made the announcement today during the company’s annual Worldwide Partner
Conference here, the Seattle Post Intelligencer reported.

Turner first
announced Microsoft’s plans for a brick-and-mortar chain to compete with Apple
Stores at the same event three years ago. The software company has since opened
11 locations.

The latest rollout
will be concentrated in California, Florida, Texas and the Northeast, according
to a map Turner used during his keynote presentation.
