New York — A memorial for Warren Zorek, a consumer electronics executive for over 30 years at Bloomingdale’s, will be held on Monday, Jan. 22, at Temple Emanu-El, here, Fifth Avenue and 65th Street at 11:30 a.m.

Zorek died on Dec. 22, 2006, after a brief illness.

While he was a veteran of the consumer electronics industry and helped start and develop many successful careers in the business, Zorek was just as well known as one of the leading international volunteers at the American Red Cross for almost 40 years. He was recently profiled in a book about the most famous volunteers in the history of the charity organization.

Zorek leaves behind his wife Jane, son Michael and daughter Jennifer Pressman as well as four grandchildren, a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law.
